2×1000KVA SCR Static Voltage Stabilizer for Electronics Manufacturing – LUXSHARE

Introduction

In 2022, Winzele supplied two independent 1000KVA SCR Static Voltage Stabilizer systems for LUXSHARE Precision’s electronics manufacturing workshop in Xuancheng, Anhui, China. This is a precision electronics manufacturing voltage stabilizer application oriented to sensitive precision electronics manufacturing loads. The electronics manufacturing workshop contains power electronic equipment, precision control equipment and high-frequency/RF-related equipment. These loads are sensitive to input voltage stability, and voltage fluctuation may affect equipment operation stability.

The facility is configured with two 1000KVA dedicated transformers. Each transformer’s low-voltage outgoing switch leads to the input side of one static voltage stabilizer, and the stabilizer output connects to the power supply of the downstream production equipment. The two systems are independent of each other and serve different power supply units respectively.

As an industrial power equipment manufacturer, Winzele was responsible for the design, manufacturing, factory testing and on-site application support of the two static voltage stabilizers.

Precision Electronics Manufacturing Load Characteristics

The electronics manufacturing workshop contains many loads sensitive to voltage fluctuation:

  • Power electronic equipment;
  • Precision control equipment;
  • High-frequency / RF-related equipment;
  • Specialized manufacturing equipment.

These equipment types have high requirements for input voltage stability: voltage fluctuation may affect the operation stability of precision control equipment, and high-frequency and RF-related equipment are sensitive to changes in the power supply environment. A stable input voltage helps maintain the power supply environment required for the normal operation of these equipment, which is also the reason this project configures a stabilization system at the workshop power supply front end.

System Configuration: Two Independent 1000KVA Stabilization Systems

This project uses two mutually independent 1000KVA SCR static voltage stabilizer systems, connected as follows:

Factory 1000KVA dedicated transformer ↓ Low-voltage outgoing switch Stabilizer Input ↓ Stabilizer Output ↓ Downstream production equipment power supply

Each 1000KVA dedicated transformer leads through its low-voltage outgoing switch to one static voltage stabilizer, and the stabilized output connects to the downstream production equipment of the corresponding power supply unit. The two systems serve different power supply units respectively and operate independently.

Project note: The two systems are independent of each other; there is no parallel operation and no combined capacity relationship. The capacity of each system is configured according to the load requirements of its corresponding power supply unit.

Why SCR Static Voltage Stabilizer Was Selected

The SCR (silicon-controlled rectifier) static voltage stabilizer adopts non-contact regulation and is a non-contact voltage regulator. Compared with mechanical voltage regulation equipment, it has the following engineering characteristics:

  • Non-contact regulation;
  • Fast response;
  • No mechanical wear;
  • Suitable for sensitive electronic loads.

SCR Static Voltage Stabilizer is suitable for precision electronics manufacturing applications where fast voltage correction and long-term continuous operation are required.

The precision control equipment, RF equipment and power electronic loads in the electronics manufacturing workshop are sensitive to fast voltage changes. The fast response capability of the SCR static voltage stabilizer helps compensate input voltage fluctuation in a timely manner, providing a more stable power supply environment for sensitive loads. The SCR non-contact regulation structure has no mechanical voltage regulation parts, making it suitable for long-term continuous operation applications.

FAQ

Q: Why use two 1000KVA static voltage stabilizers instead of one large-capacity system? A: The facility is configured with two 1000KVA dedicated transformers. Each transformer leads through its low-voltage outgoing switch to one independent 1000KVA static voltage stabilizer, and the stabilized output connects to the downstream production equipment of the corresponding power supply unit. The two systems operate independently and serve different power supply units respectively, corresponding to the facility’s transformer configuration.

Q: What is the difference between an SCR static voltage stabilizer and a mechanical voltage regulation stabilizer? A: The SCR static voltage stabilizer adopts non-contact regulation, with fast response and no mechanical wear, suitable for electronics manufacturing loads sensitive to voltage changes.

Q: Do the two 1000KVA systems operate in parallel? A: No. The two systems are independent of each other, each serving a different power supply unit. There is no parallel operation and no combined capacity relationship.

Q: Which production equipment is connected to the stabilization systems? A: The stabilization systems supply power to the precision electronics manufacturing loads in the corresponding power supply units, including power electronic equipment, precision control equipment and high-frequency/RF-related equipment that are sensitive to voltage fluctuation.
