Three-phase 440V 60Hz voltage stabilizers (Automatic Voltage Regulators) are commonly used throughout Mexico and parts of Colombia, where the electricity supply follows a unique specification of three-phase 440V, 60Hz, which is significantly different from the common international standards. The need for reliable power regulation in these regions has led us to develop and produce advanced three-phase 440V 60Hz voltage stabilizers, also known as automatic voltage regulators.

 

Voltage stabilization characteristics

 

• Accurate voltage detection: Our products are equipped with 0.2-level voltage transformers and a single-chip multi-channel synchronous ADC sampling system, which can accurately monitor voltage fluctuations in the three-phase 440V 60Hz power supply system. At the same time, the voltage is adjusted through the built-in control unit to ensure that the (automatic voltage regulator) accurately outputs 440V voltage.
• Fast adjustment mechanism: Once the control unit detects voltage deviation, the built-in intelligent control system will immediately start and adjust the voltage output within 100 milliseconds. 1. Input voltage (Uai): This is the AC input voltage of the three-phase 440V 60Hz voltage stabilizers , that is, the original voltage without voltage regulation.

2. Output voltage (Uao): This is the stable AC output voltage 440V/60Hz after the voltage regulator.

3. Compensation transformer (TBa): TBa is a compensation transformer. Its function is to compensate for the fluctuation of the input voltage by adjusting the voltage on its windings, thereby stabilizing the output voltage. UBa represents the voltage across the compensation transformer.

4. Auto voltage regulator (TVV): TVV is an auto voltage regulator, which is a variable voltage transformer. By changing the tap position of the auto voltage regulator, its output voltage can be adjusted, and then the input voltage of the compensation transformer can be adjusted to achieve precise control of the output voltage.

The working principle: the input voltage Uai (440V±20%) first enters the circuit, and is jointly regulated by the compensation transformer TBa and the auto-coupling voltage regulator TVV, and finally outputs a stable voltage Uao. When the input voltage fluctuates, the auto-coupling voltage regulator TVV will automatically adjust its output voltage, thereby changing the input of the compensation transformer TBa to compensate for the change in input voltage and ensure that the output voltage Uao remains stable at 440V/60Hz.

The figure above explains in detail the workflow and functional modules of the three-phase 440V 60Hz voltage stabilizers (automatic voltage regulator) from grid input to stable output.
The high-speed microcontroller based on the ARM Cortex M4 core collects the input and output voltages, and compares and calculates with the set output voltage. The servo motor adjusts the turns ratio of the autocoupler voltage regulator to accurately control the output voltage. It has LCD display, 485 communication and various protection functions.

Overvoltage protection (Over Voltage), when the output voltage is higher than the set threshold, the protection action is triggered to prevent the equipment from suffering insulation breakdown and other damages due to overvoltage;
Undervoltage protection (Under Voltage), when the output voltage is lower than the set threshold, it is activated to prevent the equipment from running abnormally and torque reduction due to insufficient power supply;
Overcurrent protection (Over Current), when the current exceeds the rated value, the OC protection action is triggered to effectively prevent the equipment from burning due to overheating;
Phase loss detection protection (Phase-loss Detection), real-time monitoring of the three-phase circuit, once a phase loss fault is detected, the protection action is taken quickly to avoid damage to the motor and other equipment due to phase loss operation;
Reversal identification protection (Phase-reversal Identification Protection), identify the phase sequence of the three-phase power supply, when reverse phase occurs, timely alarm and take corresponding measures to ensure that the equipment runs in the correct phase sequence.
It integrates the Intelligent Alarm Function and uses fault diagnosis algorithms to accurately identify various abnormal conditions and promptly notify users through sound and light alarms, providing a reliable safety barrier for the stable operation of industrial equipment and the continuity of production operations.
