Isolation transformers are commonly used for long-distance power transmission, especially for underwater probes, AUVs, and ROVs. Because of the long distances and the significant voltage drop after deep diving, high-voltage input is essential. Mothership power supplies only provide 440V or 400V, necessitating the use of an isolation transformer.

1.Distance-following function:

The supply voltage changes with underwater distance. For example, the longer the distance, the higher the output voltage; similarly, the closer the distance, the lower the output voltage.

2.Power-following function:

The supply voltage increases with greater underwater load, and decreases with less underwater load.

3.Fully isolated system

The ship power supply and underwater load power supply are completely isolated through the isolation transformer, effectively filtering out electrical interference

4.Salt spray protection

Transformer encapsulated in epoxy resin to protect against shore moisture.

5.Insulation monitoring function:

When leakage current or short circuit occurs in the wire, an alarm will be prompted and the output power supply will be disconnected.
